Caelus Energy Alaska LLC, a Dallas-based company focused on acquiring oil and gas properties in Alaska, has secured up to $1 billion in equity commitments from Apollo Global Management. Associated Materials Inc., a Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based manufacturer and distributor of exterior residential building products in North America, has withdrawn registration for a $100 million IPO that was first filed last July. Moelis & Co., a New York-based boutique investment bank, raised $163 million in its IPO. The company priced 6.5 million shares at $25 per share, below its plans to offer 7.3 million shares at between $26 and $29 per share. Its initial market cap is approximately $1.29 billion, and it will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker symbol MC. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley served as lead underwriters, while Moelis itself was also on the book.
