Blogs serve many different purposes, no matter what your niche area of focus is. A blog website gives writers and content creators a safe place to store and share their work. But a successful blog can also help you improve your site’s SEO, find a community or audience, or grow into other types of content.
Here are eight great Squarespace blog templates to help you envision your unique website and get started.
1. Harman
Keep it clean, simple, and focused with this blog website template. This template is a great starting point if you don’t want to make images one of the focal points of your blog. Simply showcase your posts in chronological order and tweak the site colors to match your aesthetic.

2. Fillmore
Create a classic blog homepage with the Fillmore blog design. Posts appear in a grid layout with a feature photo and the template includes pages for extra photos and other details about you and what you’re passionate about. You can adjust how many articles appear in each row of your grid or even add a block at the top to highlight a featured post.

3. Palmera
Palmera is another classic blog design, with space for a featured image, title, and quick description or preview for each post. This could work well for a blogger with a lifestyle blog or a food blog, for example. This blog design also includes an online shop page where you can sell everything from print on demand merch to affiliate products. Or remove or hide the page until you’re ready to monetize your content.
4. Sundew
A blog website isn’t just for blogging. You can upload and host a podcast using a blog site and an RSS feed by creating new blog posts with embedded audio files for each podcast episode. The Sundew template is perfect for a podcast. Or you can easily take the template and customize the article pages for a regular blog layout.

7. Squarespace user: PASSERBUY
Clémence Polès was always curious about the women that passed her by. “I would imagine their lives, what they listened to and what they read but I never had the guts to go up to them and ask,” she says. Until one day, she did. And created her blog, Passerbuy.
Rather than making the content overly aspirational, Polès aimed to find real stories to share with her audience that spoke to more authentic challenges and successes. The website makes it easy to learn about the magazine and access the latest updates.
Now, the blog is thriving and Polès says she gets a ton of inspiration through her social media platforms. “People reach out a lot on Instagram giving me suggestions on who to profile or product recommendations they are curious about,” she says. “I do my best to incorporate all of their feedback and it's great to engage in real-time with the audience but sometimes I can't feature everyone or everything.
8. Squarespace user: HOW YOU GLOW
In their manifesto, co-founders Jessie and Tara explain that they created HOW YOU GLOW to be a resource for “conscious health-driven individuals seeking inspiration, nourishment, tips, tricks, and solutions on how to get the GLOW.” Their content seeks to provide readers with access to a variety of health-inspired information, inspiration, and other “inventive nourishment.”
“Our initial desire was to create a physical wellness space that incorporated yoga, nourishing food, healers, amazing shop items, and more, but we opted against a brick and mortar and instead decided to create this experience online,” explain Jessie and Tara. “We’re so grateful we went the virtual route, as it has allowed us to reach even more people, and provides us freedom to explore the globe, making our content as dynamic as possible.”
Remember that every Squarespace template is fully customizable and these are just blog examples to get you started. You can pull new ideas or design blocks to personalize any blog design you choose. But picking a template that fits your needs now can help you get a site finished and live more quickly.
